Anna Maria Szmeterling, known professionally as Anna Jantar, was born on June
10, 1950, in Poznań, Poland, and was a singer. She began her musical journey at
a young age, attending an arts school while completing her secondary education
at the Adam Mickiewicz Lyceum. In 1968, she started her career as part of the
group Polne Kwiaty and later joined Waganci, where she met her husband, Jarosław
Kukulski. Jantar's solo career began in 1972 with the release of her first EP,
