Anjimile
Anjimile, born Anjimile Chithambo in 1993 in the United States, is a folk singer
from Boston who began playing guitar at eleven. After studying music, they wrote
most of Giver Taker while in rehab and released it in 2020; it was named one of
NPR’s best 50 albums that year and earned a Rolling Stone “Song You Need To
Know” for "Baby No More". Anjimile signed to 4AD and issued Reunion, featuring
orchestral reworkings with Jay Som, SASAMI, and Lomelda. They released The King
in September 2023 and launched studio album You’re Free to Go in 2026, preceded
by singles "Auld Lang Syne II...
