Angie & Debbie Winans, an American contemporary gospel music duo and sibling
pair consisting of Angelique Winans-Caldwell and Debra Renee Winans-Lowe, were
born into the Winans family. The pair began their music career in the 1990s with
the release of their debut album Angie & Debbie in 1993. Their second album,
Bold, was released in 1997 and included the controversial song "Not Natural,"
which sparked debate due to the duo's conservative views on homosexuality. In
1994, Angie & Debbie were nominated for Best New Artist at the Soul Train Music
Awards.
