Amy Speace is an American singer-songwriter and essayist known for her work in
folk and Americana music. Before her music career, she was a Shakespearean
actress. Her debut album, Fable, was released in 2002, followed by Songs for
Bright Street (2005), The Killer in Me (2009), and Land Like a Bird (2011).
Speace’s song “Weight of the World” was recorded by Judy Collins on her 2010
album Paradise. She has toured extensively in the U.S., U.K., and Europe,
