Born in London in 1987, Amy Harman is a classical bassoonist and teacher, member
of several ensembles and solo artist. She began by studying the cello, before
choosing the bassoon and entering the Royal College of Music, where she studied
the instrument with Andrea de Flammineis. She won several prizes, including the
Sally Wainwright Woodwind Prize and the RCM Bassoon Prize, then continued her
studies at the Prague Academy of Music with František Herman. A member of The
