Amsterdam
Amsterdam, an English pop group formed in Liverpool in 1999, emerged from
Merseyside’s vibrant music scene with founding member Ian Prowse on vocals and
guitar. The band’s breakthrough came with the single "The Journey", released in
February 2005 and reaching Number 32 on the UK Singles Chart, followed by the
charting single "Does This Train Stop on Merseyside?" in June 2005. In 2005 the
group signed with Beat Crazy Records and issued their debut album The Journey,
which included the BBC Radio 2‑playlisted track "Takin' On The World". After
