Amira Medunjanin, born Amira Dedić on 23 April 1972 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, is a singer and songwriter whose work spans world music and the
traditional sevdalinka genre. Her early exposure to Sarajevo’s musical scene led
her to record the single "Mujo đogu po mejdanu voda" in 2003, collaborating with
the Mostar Sevdah Reunion project. The breakthrough came with her debut studio
album Rosa (2005), released on Snail Records, which received acclaim across
Europe and positioned her as a notable voice in contemporary Balkan music.
