Amanda Forsythe is an American light lyric soprano recognized for
interpretations of baroque music and the work of Gioachino Rossini. Born in New
York, Forsythe graduated from Vassar College with a degree in music in 1998
before pursuing graduate studies at the New England Conservatory of Music. A
career milestone occurred after performing in the Cavalli opera Giasone, which
led to collaborations with Boston Baroque director Martin Pearlman. Forsythe
made a professional debut in 2001 as Proserpina and Ninfa in the Monteverdi
