Amanda Brown
Amanda Brown was born Amanda Leah Brown on 4 June 1985 in the Bronx, New York,
and began singing in her local church at six years old. After graduating from
Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, she
attended Howard University before transferring to Baruch College to pursue a
music career. Brown’s first professional break came in 2007 when she joined
Alicia Keys on the As I Am tour as a background singer, later providing backing
