Alpes
Alpes, a French rock 'n' roll group, was founded in 1969 by Patrice Moullet. The
band’s early work was defined by Moullet’s use of unique instruments such as the
cosmophone and percuphone, alongside singer Catherine Ribeiro, who provided all
their lyrics. In 1970 the group released its first album, nº2, followed by a
series of studio albums, including Âme debout (1971) and Paix (1972). Alpes
toured extensively, performing over 500 concerts, and collaborated with notable
musicians such as Francis Campello and Christophe Bourumeau.
