ALON
Renee "Alon" dela Rosa, born on September 24, 1959, in Quezon City, Philippines,
was a Filipino singer-songwriter best known for writing and performing the song
"Pusong Bato." He developed an interest in singing at a young age, joining
amateur singing competitions with his uncle before eventually composing his own
songs. Dela Rosa wrote "Pusong Bato" in 2002, and the song was later recorded by
Aimee Torres and Jovit Baldivino, among others. He was also a member of the band
Alon. Dela Rosa died on September 15, 2021, at the age of 61, in Quezon City
during the COVID-19 pandemic.
