Almut Kühne, born in 1983 in Dresden, Germany, is a jazz singer. She began piano
lessons at age seven and vocal training at sixteen, studying jazz at the Hanns
Eisler School of Music in Berlin until 2008. Kühne's early career included
performances with the Berliner Jugend-Jazz-Orchester under Nicolai Thärichen,
participating in the World Forum of Sacred Music in Los Angeles in 2005. She
collaborated with various ensembles and artists, including Georg Graewes' sonic
