Alişan

Serkan Burak Tektaş, known professionally as Alişan, was born on June 19, 1976,
in Şişhane district of Istanbul, Turkey. He is a singer and actor of Kurdish
descent from Kiğı, Bingöl Province. While still in high school, Alişan recorded
his first album Derdo – Elazığ'ın Güzelleri under the name Serkan Burak. His
breakthrough came with the release of his hit album Sana Bir Şey Olmasın in
1997.
