Alicia López Palazuelos (July 9, 1949 – August 26, 2017), professionally known
as Alicia Juárez, was a Mexican ranchera singer born in La Barca, Jalisco,
Mexico. She began her singing career at the age of 16 while living in Oxnard,
California. Her breakthrough moment came when she met José Alfredo Jiménez, who
launched her to fame and later became her husband. Juárez achieved international
