Alexandra Rebecca Parks, born on July 26, 1984, in Mount Hawke, Cornwall,
England, is a singer-songwriter. Raised as the youngest of four siblings, Parks
attended college at The Hub in St Austell and initially fronted a local band
called One Trick Pony. Her career took a significant turn when her father
submitted an application for the second season of the BBC Television series Fame
Academy, which she won in 2003. Following her victory, Parks released her debut
