Alex de Grassi
Alex De Grassi, born on February 13, 1952, in Yokosuka, Japan, is an American
fingerstyle guitarist, author, composer, and performer. His career began with an
invitation from his cousin William Ackerman to join Windham Hill Records, where
he became one of the label's top-selling artists. De Grassi released his debut
album Turning: Turning Back in 1978, followed by notable releases such as
Altiplano (1987), Deep at Night (1991), and The World's Getting Loud (1993). He
