Alejandro Silva
Alejandro Silva, born 19 June 1969 in Concepción, Chile, is a Chilean guitarist
who began playing acoustic guitar at 11 and switched to electric at 15. He
founded the band Alejandro Silva Power Cuarteto and released the album I in
1999. This was followed by Dios Eol in 2002, ASPC Live in 2003, and Orden & Caos
in 2007. He was also part of the Chilean band Mandrácula until 2002. In 2004, he
performed with Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Robert Fripp at the G3 concert. Silva
returned to teaching at Projazz Academy in 2010, launched a line of amplifiers
