Alejandro Filio
Alejandro Gómez Herrera, known professionally as Alejandro Filio, was born on
March 13, 1960, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He is a Mexican
singer-songwriter and poet, prominent within the Nueva canción movement. Filio
began his career as a composer at the age of 16, performing in peñas and bars
across Mexico City during the 1980s. His early television appearances included
shows like "Alegrías de mediodía" and "La Movida," and he participated in the
