Aldebert
Born Guillaume Aldebert on July 7, 1973, in Paris, the singer Aldebert first
earned a vocational diploma in photography before developing a passion for
music. He played in a metal band called White, then made a radical stylistic
shift when he launched his solo career in 1999 with a French chanson album
titled Plateau Télé. Heavily influenced by Georges Brassens and Charles Trenet,
he composes songs imbued with childhood memories and nostalgia. He released the
album Sur Place Ou à Emporter in 2004, which won the Radio France Award for
French Song. L’Année du Singe followed in 2004...
