Alcatrazz is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by
Graham Bonnet, Gary Shea, Jimmy Waldo, Jan Uvena, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Their
debut album, No Parole From Rock 'n' Roll, appeared in 1983 and reached number
128 on the Billboard 200. In 1984, the group released the live album Live
Sentence. Following Malmsteen’s departure in 1984, Steve Vai joined the band for
