British philosopher and writer known for interpreting Asian philosophies. His
early interest in reality was influenced by his family's religious background
and fascination with Eastern art. At 16, he joined the London Buddhist Lodge as
secretary. Watts' career included radio broadcasts and television appearances.
He released albums combining philosophy and music, such as his debut, Haiku
