Alain Boublil is a French librettist and songwriter best known for his collaborations with Claude-Michel Schönberg. In the 1960s, he began his career writing songs for various artists while working with Vogue Records, including work for Jean-François Michael. His breakthrough came in the early 1970s when he and Schönberg created La Révolution française, an opera about the French Revolution.
