Krystle Kantrece Johnson, known professionally as Ak'Sent, was an American rapper born on May 29, 1987, in Los Angeles, California. Raised by her grandparents after her father's death and her mother's inability to support her, Ak'Sent grew up in South Central, Los Angeles. She began her music career at the age of 16 when she was signed to Capitol Records. Her single "Zingy," featuring Beenie Man, was released in 2006, reaching number 32 on the Rhythmic Top 40.
