Akira Terao, born Akira Terao on May 18, 1947, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture,
Japan, is a Japanese musician and actor. He began his music career in 1966 as
the bassist for The Savage, a group sounds band, releasing his solo debut album
was in 1970 and gaining significant recognition with his 1981 hit song "Ruby no
Yubiwa" from the album Reflections, which sold 1.6 million copies in Japan. He
