Adrian Borland
Adrian Borland was an English singer, songwriter and guitarist born in 1957 in
Hampstead, London. In 1977, he began his career as the frontman of the punk rock
trio the Outsiders, which released the album Calling on Youth and the EP One to
Infinity. In 1979, he formed the post-punk band the Sound. The ensemble signed
with the label Korova and released the studio albums Jeopardy! (1980), From the
Lions Mouth (1981) and All Fall Down (1982). These recordings featured tracks
such as “I Can't Escape Myself” and “Golden Soldiers”. The group released its
