Adam Guettel
Adam Guettel is an American composer and lyricist born on December 16, 1964, in
New York City. He achieved professional recognition for a musical career
characterized by musical theater and opera and for being the grandson of the
musician Richard Rodgers. Guettel achieved professional recognition for a career
that began after he performed as a boy soprano soloist at the Metropolitan Opera
and the New York City Opera. He achieved professional recognition for the
musical Floyd Collins (1996), which premiered at the venue Playwrights Horizons
and featured the song “The Riddle Song”....
