Abe Most
Abraham Most, also known as Abe Most, was born on February 27, 1920, in New York
City, and was a swing clarinetist, alto saxophonist, and flutist. He began his
career in 1939 as a member of Les Brown's big band. After serving three years in
the US Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945, he joined Tommy Dorsey's big
band. He released several albums, including Mister Clarinet (1955) and Swing
Low Sweet Clarinet (1984). He was a studio musician for seven decades,
contributing to albums by Earth, Wind & Fire, Joni Mitchell, Randy Newman, and
