Abdelaziz Al Arbaoui, known professionally as Abdelaziz Stati, was born in 1961
in Al Aounat (Laaounate), Morocco. He is a Moroccan singer specializing in
Chââbi music and is recognized for his mastery of the kamanja, a traditional
violin with an arched bow and a flattened resonance box. Stati began his musical
journey in 1985 when he formed a chaabi ensemble with Al Houcine Ben Al Wafa.
His early releases include "Al Mouima Essabra Dima" (1983) and "Wa baeed Al
