Aaron LaCrate, an American record producer from Maryland, emerged from
Baltimore’s underground scene as a DJ and producer at age 10, crafting mixtapes
in his basement and later attending Syracuse University, influencing the
campus's music culture. He released the Blow Remix EP in 2006. LaCrate founded
Milkcrate Records and Milkcrate Clothing, produced tracks for Dizzee Rascal and
Lily Allen, and toured with Mark Ronson and Kanye West. His work appeared on
HBO’s The Wire and in the soundtrack to Observe and Report.
