A Thorn For Every Heart, an American post-hardcore band from Chino Hills, California, was formed in early 2003 by Joel Ryan Holt and Aaron Peck. The original lineup also included Kelvin Cruz on lead vocals, Jeff Harber on guitar and keys, Justin Powell on bass, and Joy Welling on violin. They independently released their debut EP, Silence Is Golden, in late 2003, which gained them internet exposure and an underground following.
