Calvin Alan Byrd, known professionally as 40 Cal, was born on December 17, 1979,
in Manhattan, New York, and is an American rapper. He gained initial recognition
as a member of the now-defunct hip-hop group The Diplomats. His first appearance
was on the self-titled theme song for the Dipset album Diplomatic Immunity 2.
Byrd participated in MTV2's Fight Klub MC battles, showcasing his lyrical
prowess. 40 Cal's discography includes albums like Broken Safety (2006), Broken
Safety 2 (2007), which reached number 151 on the Billboard 200, and Mooga
(2008), and mixtapes like 40 to Life ...
