1919 are an English rock band from Bradford formed in 1980. The group was
founded by guitarist Mark Tighe and vocalist Ian Tilleard. They released their
debut studio album Machine (1983) on Red Rhino Records and the extended play
Earthsong (1984) before disbanding in 1984. The single “Caged / After the Fall”
(1982) reached number 30 on the UK Indie Singles chart, while Machine reached
number 7 on the UK Indie Albums chart. The ensemble reunited in 2014 with Tighe
and vocalist Rio Goldhammer. They signed with Deadfall Management and released
